Patricia Lynn McConnell, who has a Master’s Degree in fine arts and related technologies from San Diego State University, owned and operated a boutique Art Eclectic Gallery and designed and installed architectural stained glass panels in the Sheraton Hotel in Billings, Montana. She has designed and created murals, wood carvings, bronze casting, and glass blowing for private and commercial applications. She brought her art and antiques to Julian in 2003, opening the Julian Jewel Box in 2010. She specializes in estate and fine jewelry. She has won awards at the San Diego County Fair for her custom jewelry designs, working in silver and gold. “Competing is challenging,” she has said. “It sharpens your creativity and pushes you into designing a showstopper.”
